Ottawa Municipal Government

Ottawa-Carleton consisted of the City of Ottawa and 10 surrounding Eastern Ontario cities and municipalities. They were:

• the Township of Cumberland
• the City of Gloucester
• the Township of Goulbourn
• the City of Kanata
• the City of Nepean
• the Township of Osgoode
• the Township of Rideau
• the Village of Rockcliffe Park
• the City of Vanier
• the Township of West Carleton

The Outaouais Region consists of the five West Quebec municipalities directly across the Ottawa River from Ottawa. They are:

• the City of Aylmer
• the Town of Buckingham
• the City of Gatineau
• the City of Hull
• the Township of Masson-Angers
• Town of Orangeville
