The Marshes offers Ottawa's finest golf experience only 25 minutes
from downtown. This championship golf course designed by Robert
Trent Jones II features breathtaking fairways, gentle streams
and crystal-blue lakes weaving through
modern towers of glass and steel-all against the distant backdrop
of the Gatineau Hills. With as many as four tee decks per hole,
The Marshes' bent-grass fairways and greens will challenge and
reward golfers of every calibre. RTJ2 recognized that the landscape
presented a number of nooks and crannies ideally suited to par
threes. As a result, The Marshes features a somewhat unusual
balance-six par-threes, six par-fours, and six par-five holes.
Meanwhile, MarchWood Golf Course, a European PGA-approved short
course is a truly unique, small-scale version of The Marshes
Golf Course. This course was designed for golfers by golfers.
It represents a true test of golf ability, but allows you to
get around in a short time. MarchWood offers a
golfing experience unlike any other in Canada by virtue of design,
quality and attention to detail.
The Marshes' top-notch facilities include state-of-the-art
GPS-equipped golf cart, ModelGolf Swing Analysis Program, 30,000
sq. ft. clubhouse with full-sized lockers, steam rooms, private
showers and Ironstone Grill for après-golf drinks and
casual dining.

Steeped in tradition, magnificent in its setting, the Royal Ottawa
Golf Club reflects the ambiance of a club that proudly portrays
its history. Founded in 1891, the Royal is one of Canada's oldest
clubs and yet today it still provides the utmost for those who
demand an exceptional golfing experience. The Royal was originally
located in Sandy Hill, a downtown neighbourhood of Ottawa, near
the area which now houses Strathcona Park. The original course
was laid out as a "somewhat daunting" nine hole course by Scottish
born William Davis, North America's first golf professional. The
course is challenging, fair and enjoyable by all. Golf deserves
respect for its history and tradition, and at the Royal Ottawa
Golf Club, history and tradition are faithfully maintained.
