Sheila King is an Ottawa artist who paints local scenery,
landscapes, plants, flowers and more for local businesses and
families in the Ottawa area. If you are looking to commission
a painting for loved one call her and find out the steps involved
in creating your perfect gift!
Born and raised in England, with two green thumbs and a pencil
in her hand, Sheila King has never stopped drawing, painting
and gardening. Arriving in Montreal in the mid-1970's, she studied
at John Abbott Collage, and has continued to take courses with
various instructors in the years since, in the strong belief
that you should never stop learning!
Sheila is adept at producing any form of art a client needs
and delights in the variety this gives to her artwork. She accepts
commissions, in a client's choice of medium, to capture home,
cottage, farm building, boat, family or pets on canvas or paper,
with the opportunity to make a personal greeting card from the
image.
A resident of the village of Manotick, Ontario, since 1997,
Sheila enjoys producing miniature watercolors of local heritage
buildings and houses including Watson’s Mill. At the Ontario
Horticultural Association (OHA) Convention in North Bay in 2005,
Sheila won three prestigious prizes for her exhibited artwork.
